Vicky and I are delighted to be able to add fellow Dorset designer Jacqueline Milton’s beautiful fabric designs to our Meg Morton collections following Jacqueline’s decision to step back after many years in the design industry. These stunning designs, many inspired by pretty cottage garden florals and countryside hedgerows, started life as intricate hand paintings in Jacqueline’s Dorset studio.
“ Miles of hedgerows bursting with life, orchards, crops and rolling hills, I’m constantly inspired by the effortless combinations in nature” JM
Our shared passion for pretty country florals and our stunning Dorset countryside and coast has led to the combined fabrics working in perfect harmony together to provide a relaxed country feel for your home and hopefully give you with even more inspiration for your schemes. All of our fabrics are printed by our expert print works in Lancashire onto the same beautifully soft linen cotton mixes.
A keen artist, Jacqueline began her design journey more than 30 years ago and spent many years working as a carpet designer for Axminster Carpets where she acquired many of her design skills, winning a national award along the way. Gaining experience with colour, pattern and repeats provided the perfect grounding for Jacqueline to launch “Jacqueline Milton Fabrics”during London Design Week 2017 at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London. In 2018 Jacqueline Milton Fabrics was a finalist in the British Interior Textile Association’s - Best Fabric Brand category.
Vicky and I are very thrilled to be on this exciting design journey and we wish Jacqueline all the very best for the future. We are especially excited that Jacqueline has agreed to be onboard with some future designing too!
