We’re so pleased that our very personal family story is featured on the front page of the local Blackmore Vale Magazine this month.
We haven’t made a huge song and dance about it, but earlier this year, alongside running Meg Morton, our wonderful daughter Vicky was given a whole new lease of life, following a successful kidney transplant at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
Vicky’s donor was, in fact, my lovely husband, Rob, so, as you can imagine, it was an incredibly worrying time for all of us.
The team at Southmead was absolutely fantastic, as were Vicky, her husband Richard and, of course, Rob.
We’ll be revealing more about this in a future blog, but, for now, safe to say, both Vicky and Rob are bursting with energy and an absolute inspiration!
There really is no stopping Vicky. As well as designing our beautiful fabric and wallpaper, making lampshades, taking amazing photographs and keeping our Meg Morton website updated (plus a host of other jobs!), Vicky can’t wait to attend Interior Junction with me in September, where we will have a stand.
This fabulous interiors festival in Derby is shaping up to be an amazing festival. Oh, and we have another couple of other summery events to tell you about soon…keep watching this space for more details!
